Social History Display

Merseyside Police has an interesting social history starting in 1836 and wanted to provide a walk-through of this history for a display at Police headquarters in Liverpool.

Students from Liverpool John Moores University undertook months of research and the Police asked Collage Marketing to work with the students to design and produce exhibition display materials. Using a montage of images, Collage Marketing created a visual depiction of the role of the Police and captured the evolution of the force over the last 175 years in an accessible, attractive but also appropriate format.

In total, nine exhibition boards were produced and installed on the first floor of the Police headquarters.

Community Arts Project

Collage uses the arts as an effective means to engage and inspire local people. The aim of this project was to understand and tackle the issues concerning worklessness in Knowsley.

Whilst exploring the industrial heritage and past employment, Collage Marketing used the arts as an effective means of engaging with residents and in helping to understand their aspirations for the future.

The result was the creation of artwork depicting the industrial heritage of the borough, from the ice cream factory in Kirkby to watchmakers in Prescot from car production in Halewood to quarrymen in Huyton.

Logo Design

Tapping in to the talent of children, Collage Marketing delivered a series of workshops to design and produce a new logo and identity for the PSS Liverpool Siblings project. The result was the blue skyline of Liverpool with some great images produced by the young people themselves. Collage Marketing then designed the logo based on the artwork created by the children and produced business cards, flyers and other publicity materials to help raise awareness of this project to families across Liverpool.

“We all enjoyed working with Collage marketing and the young people were thrilled to see how their creativity had fed into the end design. It’s great to see it now applied to the DVD and leaflets we have developed with Collage’s help.”
